[...] “In brief, this is a must-read book. I’ve read a lot of climate/energy books over the past couple of years (trying to glean how to get the message across to the public); this is one of the two best books on the subject you will find, even if you aren’t involved in the issue at all. “ Consider it required reading for anyone remotely interested in a livable climate, or defending public interest from industry. Although, fair warning: You will probably be angry (or angrier) at the status quo after reading this. It certainly makes me want to take a stronger stand than before… maybe I can find a way to link studies of PR and denialism into my grad studies…” BRIAN D, Left as an Excercise [...]

I think this book is a good read for anyone interested in the role of public relations firms in redefining the debate on climate change. After reading this book I spotted some of the people mentioned in subsequent 'news' stories on tv.

It provides information for finding and following the spin, meaning we can spot it and avoid being affected by it, but that's all I remember. I'll check again as soon as I can get back to the book (as it's currently on loan).

All well and good, but what does it offer for suggestions on fighting the spin? I know it's too much to expect even the best books to contain a magic bullet, but I've grown very sick of how easily these con men can hamper and mislead the discussion.
